Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Walter Claudio has shared his talents across the globe as an educator, trainer and platform artist. For the past eight years, Claudio has held various appointments as a consultant and educator for various manufacturers, been an Aveda Global Master and served as a member of the Aveda Salon Business Advisory Panel. His work has been published in numerous trade magazines, such as ModernSalon and SalonToday, as well as consumer magazines such as Los Angeles, SPA, InStyle, and more. As a leader, he is devoted to creating innovate education and business systems that support and inspire staff and colleagues alike to “be all that they are created to be.” He is the creator of HeadMapping™, the Business of Color, designer of the HeadMapping™ ColorMix Collection by etopa®, and the co-creator of ColorBiz™, the first software for colorists. A father of three children, he lives in Santa Barbara and in his off time is a Ducati motorcycle enthusiast and soccer aficionado.
Co-owner and Vice President of Development & Resources of Walter Claudio Inc., an Aveda Lifestyle Salon Spa in Santa Barbara, and principal Educator of Salon Operating Systems®, Angela is purposefully committed to helping individuals reach their full potential. A graduate of UCSB with a B.A. in Communications Studies and over 15 years experience as an entrepreneur, Angela has allowed her formal education to flourish into a practical, hands-on, “do-it” type of leadership. Angela, a mother of three, lives in Santa Barbara and is married to Walter Claudio. Her life’s passions are her children, friendships, writing, cooking and traveling.
Founder of Executive to Executive, Inc., an executive coaching and business consulting firm, and principal strategist for Salon Operating Systems®, Ms. Downing has a keen ability to develop, manage and grow organizations to reach their full potential. An excellent communicator with fine-tuned leadership skills, Ms. Downing has won an impressive reputation in the corporate business world. As a business executive, Ms. Downing has focused on leading the financial and cultural turn-around of professional publishing companies, including the Los Angeles Times as its Publisher, President and CEO. Her formal education earned her a law degree from Stanford University and a B.S. in Economics from Lewis & Clark College. A grandmother of nine, she lives in Santa Barbara, California and enjoys gardening, dog agility, cooking and the beach.
